Music is a reflection of the community that creates it. The harmonies that are created at Temple Sinai are comprised of warmth, creativity and diversity. Let us always make music of this kind together.
Chazzan Cliff Abramson was ordained at Hebrew Union College, New York in 2006 after completing a Master’s degree in Sacred Music in 2005. He earned his first graduate degree in theatre from New York University in 1985 and has performed on stage, film and television. In addition to Jewish music, he has also trained in classical music as a tenor and classical guitarist. His Bar/Bat Mitzvah training program, recitals, original synagogue music, and lecture programs on Jewish music are all a result of his eclectic background.
Since coming to Temple Sinai in 2006, Chazzan Abramson’s original compositions have been published in the URJ compilation “Shabbat Anthology 7” and have been selected for presentation at various conventions and seminars. DVD copies of his most recent cantorial recital as well as his first CD, “Many Sounds of Shabbat,” are available at Temple Sinai.
