Rabbi Samantha Kahn

We are happy and proud to announce that Samantha Kahn has accepted our offer to be the next Rabbi at Temple Sinai.

Over the past six months, we have engaged in an extensive search process with multiple candidates being carefully vetted by our Rabbinic Search Committee under the leadership of Herb Krasow.  A special thank you goes to Herb and the committee for their dedicated efforts during this process.

Rabbi Kahn won us over with her warmth, scholarship, love of Judaism, sense of community and a commitment to guide Temple Sinai along our unique path. As per the normal practice with congregations in the reform movement, she will begin her role with us on July 1st, 2019.

In the interim, a transition team will be assisting in her family’s move to Sarasota and in acclimating her to our temple community.  We anticipate that she will make multiple visits to our temple in which there will be opportunities for our congregation to interact with her.  We will also be adding a Rabbi Kahn page to our website, so that you can gain further insights into her wonderful qualities.

Rabbi Huntting and Chazzan Abramson participated in the selection process and are thrilled that Rabbi Kahn will be our next Rabbi.  Temple Sinai is a fabulous place, and we are all confident that we will be in good hands with her.
